PRAY WITH YEMENI BELIEVERS
Prayer Request
The following are current prayers from Yemeni believers. Please pray with our brothers and sisters who are suffering not only from war but from religious persecution as well.
Lord, we pray for the beginning of a new day, a new year to glorify your Holy Name in our lives. We ask you, Lord, to help us to be active laborers in your field. Make your life shine through us and may we see our country through your eyes. We pray that 2018 will be a year of new beginnings, a year of reconciliation between the warring parties, a year of peace, a year of cease-fire, and a year of rebuilding our country.
We pray that we put our eyes on the Faithful One and believe that Yemen will be a country that worships you, as we continue sowing seed and helping our neighbors of a different faith. Pray that we do not get tired of doing good, in spite of persecution, and that in due time, we will reap a harvest.
We pray for 2 Timothy 2:2
to continue being the scripture of multiplication for the church in Yemen - "And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." Pray that the Great Commission will always be part of the mission of the church in Yemen. And so we pray for our brothers and sisters who are leading meetings among believers. We pray that as they learn the Word of God together, they will be able to witness to others. We pray for more disciples and for multiplication.We pray that our society will be turned around, from a society of violence and hatred, to a society of love and communities that restore lives. May the result be that many more will come to Christ. Pray for Yemen to accept Christ as their Messiah. We trust and believe that the Lord will answer our prayers in the name of Jesus!
We thank the international church, our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world, who have blessed us with food, water, jobs, salaries, and health care which they have provided. May the Lord bless you and your families. The church of Yemen sends our gratitude to you for being an answer to our prayers.
We continue to pray for the provision of blankets and warm clothes to protect the children from the winter cold. We pray that people will have access to adequate medical care. We pray for job opportunities for the believers and that they will receive the salaries promised to them. We pray for more awareness of the best hygiene practices to reduce diseases and that we will be able to continue to provide hygiene kits. We pray for communities to have access to clean water. Pray that more people will be able to receive rainwater-harvesting systems to filter the water.
